Very interesting question. No high level maths required.
This question was posted a couple of days ago.

I think it is really interesting. It looks much more difficult than it really needs to be.

Some guidelines for question askers.
Please note:
1) Ask only one question per post.
2) When asking a question talk about what you have tried for yourself. Then people will take you more seriously and will be more able and willing to help.
3) If you get an answer

You don't need to appologize. I enjoy working with international students. I used to teach at an international college and I always thought my students must be very clever studying difficult subjects in a foreign language.
If you want to try again I will try to an answer your questions.
I hope that this google translation makes sense to you.

I am sorry I am not familiar with the terminology.
I know what a balloon mortgage is but what does 30/8 mean.
I assume it has to do with the size of the payments and how often they are made.
I googled it and I am wondering if you mean a 8 year contract based on a 30 year amortization period, but even if that is what you mean I would still need to know how often the payments are made.
Could you please explain?
I am also assuming it is $147500 at 3.6% per annum reducible with each payment.

do you mean
(-2.557)squared
or
-(2.557squared)
If you put -2.557 squared into a calculator, it will think you mean -(2.557squared)
That is because it treats -2.557squared as -1*2.557squared
and powers are always done before multiply.

Maybe this will help
Say the temperature is 13 degrees and then there is a really cold snap and the temperature falls by 25 degrees. what will be the new temperature?
If the answer is not obvious, draw a number line and pretend it is a thermometer.
Start at 13 then take away 1, then another 1, ...... until you have taken away 25. What number did you get to?
Does this help you? What answer did you get?
