Very interesting question. No high level maths required.
This question was posted a couple of days ago.

I think it is really interesting. It looks much more difficult than it really needs to be.

Some guidelines for question askers.
Please note:
1) Ask only one question per post.
2) When asking a question talk about what you have tried for yourself. Then people will take you more seriously and will be more able and willing to help.
3) If you get an answer

A circle has a diameter of 20 cm.
The line AC is a diameter of the circle.
B is a point on the circumference of the circle with AB = 12 cm. The point D lies on the arc AC on the opposite side to point B.
What is the sine of ∠BDC?
<BDC=<BAC they are both subtended from arc BC so they are congruent
<ABC = 90degress (angle in a semicircle)
Cos(<BAC) = 12/20
and you can finish it.

What are the dimensions of a prism that has a volume of 216mm3 but is not a rectangular prisim
As you are probably aware, there are many answers to this problem.
It could be a triangular prism where : 1/2 * base * height * length = 216
OR
It could be a cylinder where : pi * r^2 * height = 216
Or
any other shape prism where 216 = area of front face * depth

Just remember that multiply and divide are done before plus or minus
7 - 4 + 3 x 0 + 1
= 7 - 4 + (3 x 0) + 1
=7 - 4 + 0 + 1
= 4
How did you get 2 ??

First simplify both sides separately. Which means expand the bracket and collect like terms.
If you have a go at this and don't know what to do next then you can post again.

Pour la physique j'ai à résoudre se calcul : 2.657x10^(-26)/1.673x10^(-27) et je trouve la bonne reponce mais avec a peu près 52 zeros donc je ne trouve pas comment simplifier pourriez vous m'aidez ?
merci
For physics I have to solve is calculation: 2.657x10^(-26)/1.673x10^(-27) and I find the good answer but with about 52 zeros so I can not find how to simplify pourriez you help me?
Thank you
2.657x10^(-26)/1.673x10^(-27) = (2.657 / 1.673 ) * 10^(-26 - - 27) = 1.588 * 10^1 = 15.88 ( to 3 significant figures ) (à trois chiffres significatifs)
OR you could just do the whole lot on your calculator
OU vous pourriez juste faire le tas sur votre calculatrice
2.657 EXP -26 / 1.673 EXP -27 =
