(x,y): y = 2x + 1 y = x/2 + 4
Since y equals both those expressions it is easiest just to say
2x+1 = x/2 +4
then multiply both sides by 2 to get rid of the fraction
and I am hoping you can do it from there.
When you get your answer, plug the numbers back into the original equations to check that they are correct.
