Ok, so assuming this is dealing with exponents:

a^(8/15) * a^(-1/3)

= a^(8/15) * a^(-1/3)

= a ^{(8/15) + (-1/3)}

= a ^(1/5)
When you multiply a number x raised to an exponent by that same number x raised to a different exponent, the answer would be x raised to the sum of the exponential powers.

I just gave you some points, but I want to give you some pointers as well:)

x=5+1-3

x = 6 - 3

x = 3

75 percent of a number is the same as 0.75 of that number.

So the equation is:

0.75 * x = 411

Divide both sides by 0.75

x =   $${\frac{{\mathtt{411}}}{{\mathtt{0.75}}}} = {\mathtt{548}}$$

Ok, so with the additional information from RoMeMaJo8, the question is apparently asking for 100 to the power of 3/2

Which is:

$${{\mathtt{100}}}^{\left({\frac{{\mathtt{3}}}{{\mathtt{2}}}}\right)} = {\mathtt{1\,000}}$$

As a note, RoMeMaJo8, when there is a number that is smaller and in the upper right corner of another number, that is an exponent. You would use this sign: ^

x = 3/2 y x = -5

To get the inverse sine (also caled arcsine) you would first press the "2nd" button in the top left corner. (See it?) Then you would press the button where "sin" had been. It now shows up as "asin", the inverse sine.

x + y = sqrt(x^2+y^2)

x and y could be: 0 and any real number.

If x or y (let's say x) is 0, the equation would be:

0 + y = sqrt(0^2 + y^2)

Which simplifies to:

y = sqrt(y^2)

The sqrt and ^2 cancel out:

y = y

When you have an equation that simplifies to something equals itself, the solution would be all real numbers.

If you graph the equation on the calculator, it comes out as a straight line, with the y at 0. This shows that y  (or x) is 0 and x (or y) is all real numbers.

Press "2nd", then press the button. The inverses will pop up.
