First thing....graph the points
then you should be able to find the perimeter easily:
-x^2-x+1 = x^2 + x - 3
2x^2 + 2x-4 = 0
x^2 +x -4 = 0
(x-1)(x+2) = 0 x = 1 and -2 1 - -2 = 3
The other x - intercept will be the same distance from the axis of symmetry, except on the OTHER side of the axis:
9,0
You need another equation relating x and y to have a simultaneous equation set with a unique answer....otherwise the graph below shows all of the answer to this ONE equation relating x and y :
https://www.desmos.com/calculator/nfnpwdxblq
g cost = g * 1.25
r = 2g cost = 2g (2.75) summed = 20.25
1.25 g + 2.75 (2g) = 20.25 solve for g .... then r = 2g
Multiply both sides by x
7 = 11/2 x Multiply both sides by 2/11
2/11 * 7 = x You can finish........
Here is a Venn:
(x-7)(x+7) = x^2 -49 = x ^2 + 0x + (-49)
(1 -7) + (3i-15i) =..........
Slope = 3/-3 = -1
point slope form y-11 = -1 (x-1)
y +x = 12
x/12 + y/12 =1
