Another way...... using all factorials.....
5! / (1 + 1)! - [ 3!] / [2!] =
120/2 - 6/2 =
[120 - 6] / 2
114/ /2 =
57
Thanks for that answer, Summerkim12......welcome to the forum.....!!!
We know an angle and the opposite side of a right triangle....and we're looking for the adjacent side ....so......We can use the tangent for this :
tan (26.3) = 93 / d where d is the distance to the base.....re-arrange...
d = 93 / tan(26.3) = about 188.17 m = 188 m rounded
We have the following inequality - where p is the number of packs ordered
20p + 10 <= 120
20p <= 110
p<= 5.5 round down to 5
D is the correct answer [ although I question whether ordering 0 packs makes sense ...!! ]
Each row will have an odd number of dancers where a successive row has two more than the previous one.......
The sum of the first N odd numbers = N^2
So.....we want to know when........
N^2 <= 25
N <= 5
So....we need 5 rows
The problem is the way it is wriiten......it should be :
5/6 - (3 + 2/3) =
5/6 - 3 - 2/3 =
5/6 - 2/3 - 3 =
5/6 - 4/6 - 3 =
1/6 - 3 =
1/6 - 18/6 =
-17/6
I have a feeling that you subtracted the 3 but then added the 2/3..........it should have been subtracted.........!!!
[ 1 - sin^2 (x) ] / tan^2 (x) =
[cos^2 (x) ] / [sin^2(x)/ cos^2(x)] =
cos^2 (x) * cos^2(x) / sin^2(x) =
cos^4(x) / sin^2(x)
Wheteher this is more "simple" or not is debatable.......
The side = sqrt (484) = 22ft
Perimeter = 4 * side = 4 * 22 = 88 ft
9 gal = 1/2 of the tank.....so....
9gal / 3 gal/hr = 9/3 hrs = 3 hours
8/15.......using some long division.....
.533
15 [ 80
75
--------
50
45
------
----
So 8/15 = .533 = about 53.3% [ the 3's repeat......]
