XZ=ZY and XZ+ZY=XY, which means X,Y, and Z form a degenerate triangle. (I don't know if you have learned it yet. Sorry if you haven't.)  Since from Y to Z, we go 2 steps left and 14 steps down, we do the same to arrive at X=(-1-2,-7-14) which is (-3,-21). So, X=-24. I hope you understood. I am very sorry for the damage I have made on this website. I will not use it again, so I will not break your rules.

Also, I think they wrote the solution wrong. B is the best answer.

I think it's B, but we can have a debate. 

Okay, let's narrow this down:

First, read the problem carefully. 

Now, we eliminate.

Choice D is wrong since it reflects of the whole U.S., not New Jersey.

Choice C is wrong since it reflects on STUDENTS at this public university in New Jersey.

Now we are down to A and B.

To me, I think it's B since it has a larger sample size, and it will have more accurate results. 

I don't know why, either. I got B.

A triangle has 180 degrees. A straight angle has 180 degrees. 

The straight line is 6x. Also, a triangle has 180. So, x=30. 

(I don't know your level, so I don't know how to explain it. I don't think you have learned too much about triangles yet, so I'm super sorry if you don't get my explanation.)

then you expand to \(\left(a^2-b^2\right)+2iab=2i\)

\(\left(a^2-b^2\right)+2iab=0+2i\)

then, let's write is as system of equations: (I assume you know what it is)

\(\begin{bmatrix}a^2-b^2=0\\ 2ab=2\end{bmatrix}\)

So, \(x=1+i,\:x=-1-i\)

If DG is at most 1, we can draw a circle with radius 1 and center D.

We know the circle and triangle will share a 60 degree sector.

So the area of the sector is pi/6.

The area of the entire equilateral triangle is sqrt3/4*a^2, and since a=3, 9sqrt3/4.

3.8971 is the approximate area of the triangle, and 0.5236 is the approximate area of the sector.

So 0.5236/3.8971 which is around 0.134356
