Chuckie can ALMOST get 13 kits from each piece of 8 foot stock...ALMOST

   8 ft = 96 inches

        to get 8 kits would require 7 cuts       7 cuts means  7/16 waste added to the 7 3/8 required for the 13 kits

                    13 kits * 7 3/8  + 7/16 = 96.3125     Sooooo close....

So Chuckie can onle get 12 kits from each 8 ft stock

    500 kits  *   ( piece stock )/12kits = ~~ 42 pieces of stock
