2.5 gal   = 128 * 2,5  = 320 oz

So

Total oz.  /  Oz. per glass  =    320  / 8     =   40 glasses

-3x + 3= -2+x      add 3x, 2 to both sides

5  = 4x                 divide both sides by 4

5/4   = x

5 out of 25  = 5/25   = 1/5  = 20/100  = 20%

8 out of 40   = 8/40  = 1/5  = 20/100  = 20%

6 out of 24   = 6/24  = 1/4  = 25/100  = 25%

1 out of 3  = 1/3  =  about  33 + 1/3 %

[change in position]  / time traveled 

The  position  at t = 4 = sqrt(4*4)  = 4 cm

And the position at t = 1 = sqrt(4*1)  =  2cm

So ......

It moves 2cm  in 3 seconds    =  2/3  cm  per second....

4w^2 - 25    =

(2w + 5) (2w - 5)

BTW.....this is a perfect square binomial, not a trinomial....

Avg velocity  = [ s(b)  - s(a)] / [ b  - a  ]      where b = 4 and a = 1    .....so we have...
