tan ( 126 + 43/60) = -1.340788783609
75.......Bingo !!!!!
We are just asking........what is the evaluation of the function when we substitute "0" in for "s" ????
Do you see what the answer is, Hayley????
Very nice......gibsonj338.........5 points from me......!!!!
3 x 14/15 =
42/15 =
14/ 5
2x^2 = 8x subtract 8x from both sides
2x^2 - 8x = 0 factor
2x ( x - 4) = 0
Setting each factor to 0, we have
2x = 0 [divide both sides by 2] and x - 4 = 0 [add 4 to both sides]
x = 0 and x = 4
6g^3 + 8g^2 - 15g - 20
2g^2 (3g +4) - 5(3g + 4) =
(3g + 4) ( 2g^2 - 5)
Thanks , guest......here's a slightly faster manner.......just set the y's equal....... and we have
4x = x + 12 subtract x from both sides
3x = 12 divide both sides by 3
x = 4
And using y = 4x then y = 4(4) = 16
h(t)= -16t^2 + 48t + 15
The maximum height will be reached after -b/2a secods = -48/2(-16) = 48/32 = 1.5 seconds
Then.....the max ht = -16(1.5)^2 + 48(1.5) + 15 = -16(2.25) + 72 + 15 = 51 ft
Here's the graph........https://www.desmos.com/calculator/poqqwhpqok
We want to know where the sin = 1/2......
This occurs at 30° + n* 360° and at 150° + n*360° where n is an integer
Here is a graph which confirms this........https://www.desmos.com/calculator/03z7sxndpl
