with the equation of (3xn)+(n-1) find the slope-intercept form and point-slope form (using the point when n = 3). Graph the equation, and mark the points that correspond to n = 2 and n = 4.

y =  (3n) + ( n - 1) =  2n - 1

When  n  =  3.....then  y = 2(3)   -1   = 5

When n = 2  then  y  =  2(2) - 1   = 3

When n = 4 , then y = 2(4)  - 1

Using x  for n...the slope = 2

Using  ( 3 , 5)

Point-slope   is  (y - 5)  = 2(x - 3)

Slope - int   is    y = 2(x - 3) + 5  ⇒  y  = 2x - 6 + 5  ⇒ y=  2x  - 1

The equation form 1.2 of week 6 is 3xn+n-1

The point-slope is (Y-1)=3(x-1)

The slope-intercept is Y=3x-2
