299/12 = 24 remainder 11

Only the 11 is important the time is 11:00

modulo

don't know the exact english word, but it's the rest of the division.

For example

10%3 = 1

11%3 = 2

12%3 = 0

Anonymous has got the right idea too

10%3 = 1 ==>  10mod3 is 1 because 10 divided by 3 has a REMAINDER OF 1

11%3 = 2 ==> 11MOD3 is 2

12%3 = 0 ==> 12 mod 3 is 0
