1) Using the law of cosines, we have: c2=62+7222×6×72cos45

Simplifying, we have c2=36+98842×22, which simplifies to: c2=50

Can you take it from here?

5) Using the Pythagorean Theorem on ADC, we find that ¯AD=8

Now, applying the Pythagorean Theorem on ADB, we find that ¯AB=17.

We also know that sin=oppositehypotenuse, which in this case, is ¯AD¯AB.

Can you take it from here?
