If you are tired of writing \space all the time for the space in LaTeX, then you can right "\" instead, for example, This \ is \ how \ you \ do \ it.

Which is This is how you do it. with spaces in between

Use can also use these ~ or \quad \qquad etc. 

 

Like this you can use space easily

Or you can use "\mathrm{}", for example: Factor4x412x3+8x2+12x1

 

You see how the word "Factor" is in normal font...
