Hi Cupcake,

How about I tell you HOW to do it  laugh

1) Draw a right angled triangle.

2) Put theta in one of the acute angles.

3) mark the three sides as Opp, adj and hypotenuse.    Do you know how to do that?

4) You know that     \(sin \theta = \frac{15}{17}\)    and that     \(sin\theta = \frac{opp}{hyp}\)

so

opp =15    and    hyp = 17

put those numbers on your triangle.

5)   Use the pythagorean theorum to find the 3rd side.

6) Now look at each of those ratios in turn and see which ones is correct.

Do it a quickly as you can and I will stay around for a little while so you can ask question if you get stuck.

I've just looked at your history Cupcake. I can see that you are in the excellent habit of giving your answerers a thumbs up. laugh

People also like a little written thanks, and better still they like you to ask questions if you do not completely understand.

In this case you can ask me if you have the correct 3rd side.   laugh

Ah well, I'm actually practically new to this site, wasn't actually aware that I could reply to someone's answer, now I know I can. I will definitely keep that in mind. :)

Thanks Cupcake.

If you make a good impression, which you already have with me, people will bend over backwards to help you here.  laugh

I believe the all the answers that apply are: csc θ = 17/15, tan θ =15/8, sec θ = 17/8
