the period is 3.14 (the distance from one peak to the next)

the amplitude would be 2 as it is the distance between the centre point and peak

the frequency is 1/3.14 

the equation of the midline of the function would be x=-3

The equation of the midline is  y = - 3

 

3.  The equation is

 

y = 2cos (2x) - 3
