4(2s1)=7s+12|Expand LHS8s4=7s+12|Subtract 7s from both sidess4=12|Add 4 on both sidess=16|FINISH!

Thank you so much for your help I just have one question after subtracting seven from both side's you don't have to divide anything just add the 4 to both sides and it will display your S?

Yes.....for this Q there is no division in the last step as shown.
