How do you find the area of a trapezoid?

  1. Find the length of the lines that are parallel to each other. Set these equal to b1 and b2 (these are the "bases" of the trapezoid)
  2. Find the height of the trapezoid (The height is perpendicular to both of the bases)
  3. Solve using this formula: Areatrapezoid = h*((b1 + b2)/2)
