In the Orange party there are 11424 votes and then "which was seven eightshs of the Blue party vote that means $\frac{7}{8}$ ${of\ the\ Orange\ party}={Blue\ party}$. You know there are 11424 votes for the Orange party so: $\frac{7}{8}$$*\ 11424\ votes$ and that's 9996 votes.

So I think my answer is correct.

11,424 was 7/8 of Blue party. 

Substitute the = sign for the word was.  

(7/8) • Blue = 11,424  

Divide both sides by 7/8  

Divide by a fraction means multiply by the inverse of that fraction.  

Blue = (8/7) • 11,424  

Blue = 13,056

why you had multiply 11424 by 8/7? I thought you would do it with 7/8.
