heather has the equation y=2*3^x+1. she wants to graph a function that represents exponential decay. what should she change in her equation?
Exponential decay function is
y=abx where $$a>0 \mbox{ AND } 0
The +1 at the end is insignificant.
It is the 3 that is wrong. It needs to be a number between 0 and 1.

Perhaps change it to.......... y= -2*3^x+1 ???
As x increases, y decreases, indicating decay (of something)
