The daily output of a sausage factory is 500,000 sausages per day. Currently, fifteen specialized packing machines can produce that output in twelve hours. If the manager of the factory wishes to reduce the production time to ten hours, then how many additional identical machines should she purchase?

500,000 / 15/12 =2,778 sausages per machine/hour.
500,000/10 hours=50,000 per hour/M machines.
50,000 /2,778 =18 machines, or 15 + 3 new ones will be required to produce 500,000 sausages in 10 hours.
