Find the derivative using the derivatives formula, [f(x+h)-f(x)]/h of f(x)= 3x^3 + 2x^2 + x + 1

f(x)= 3x^3 + 2x^2 + x + 1

f(x+h)= 3x(x+h)^3 + 2(x+h)^2 + (x+h) + 1

f(x+h)f(x)h=[3x(x+h)3+2(x+h)2+(x+h)+1][3x3+2x2+x+1]h

now simplify
