Find the value of x if 9^x - 6*3^x - 27 = 0.
x = 5.
Please do not post random answers here. First of all, 9^5 is some big random number. We already know that it is incorrect.
Bit hard to solve it the mathy way, so we do it the stupider way.
x = 1 -- fail
x = 2 -- 81 - 9*6 = 81-54 = 27 -- correct
so x = 2.
Notice that all the numbers will be a factor of 9; no matter what x is, under certain conditions it will be a difference of multiples of 9.
