Surface and volume please!

Hints:

Surface area is the sum of areas of all faces (Triangles, rectangles) 

Area of Triangle = \(\frac{1}{2}*b*h\)

Area of Rectangle \(=W*L\)

 

Volume is the area of the cross-sectional multiplied by the length/height. 

The volume of this shape is the area of the cross-sectional multiplied by the length between the two triangles on the right. (The long dotted line also)

Hello,

Volume: area of the trapezium (\(\frac{b_1+b_2}{2}*h\))=\(\frac{8+5}{2}*4=26\) 

Multiplied by the length (12)

\(26*12=312\) Correct!

 

Surface:

\((26*2)+(5*12)+(12*4)+(8*12)+(12*5)=316\) 

Correct!
