I have taken my most recent Algebra 1 test, and I got several questions wrong. At least I have a second chance. I have been able to fix most of them on my own, but I would like to have my answers checked by someone who knows what they are doing. And there are a couple of questions that I simply cannot figure out (they have to do with writing quadratic equations. I usually don't have a problem with solving equations, but writing them is a different story).

*Answers to check*

1) Factor the expression: x^2 - 9
My answer: (3 + x)(-3 + x)

2) Factor the expression: x^2 + 6x + 9
My answer: (x + 3)(x + 3)

3) Factor the expression: 2x^2 - 4x
My answer: 2x(x - 2)

*Problems to solve*

1) Write a quadratic equation that has the given solutions: 3 & 2.
The answer I gave on the test was x^2 + 5x + 6 = 0. I know now that this is wrong, but I cannot figure out where I messed up.

2) Wrie a quadratic equation that has the given solutons: 1 & 3.
The answer I gave was x^2 + 4x + 3 = 0. Again, I don't see where my math is wrong.

I'mAPerson:

1) Factor the expression: x^2 - 9

[input]factor( x^2 - 9 )[/input]

I'mAPerson:

2) Factor the expression: x^2 + 6x + 9

[input]factor( x^2 + 6x + 9 )[/input]

I'mAPerson:

3) Factor the expression: 2x^2 - 4x

[input]factor(2x^2 - 4x)[/input]

I'mAPerson:

1) Write a quadratic equation that has the given solutions: 3 & 2.

(x-3)*(x-2)=0
[input]expand((x-3)*(x-2))[/input]

I'mAPerson:

2) Wrie a quadratic equation that has the given solutons: 1 & 3.

(x-1)*(x-3)=0
[input]expand((x-1)*(x-3))[/input]

excuse my ignorance or the missing of the necessary brain cell, what's the difference between sin^-1 and sinh as seen on scientific calculators for computers? It's been a long time since precalc.
