If the terminal side of 'theta' is in quadrant II and the reference angle is pi/3, find the exact values of sin(theta) and cos(theta)

a. sin(theta)='squareroot' 3/2 and cos(theta)=1/2

b. sin(theta)='squareroot' 3/2 and cos(theta)=1/2

c. sin(theta)='squareroot' 3/2 and cos(theta)=-1/2

d. sin(theta)=1/2 and cos(theta)='squareroot' 3/2

e. sin(theta)=-1/2 and cos(theta)= - 'squareroot' 3/2

If the terminal side of 'theta' is in quadrant II and the reference angle is pi/3,

find the exact values of sin(theta) and cos(theta)

II. Quadrant : cos(θ)<0sin(θ)>0

So the answer is c.

sin2(θ)+cos2(θ)=1(32)2+(12)2=134+14=11=1
