The area of one of the triangles are: \(\frac{1}{2}(7 - 4)(8) = \frac{1}{2}(24) = 12 \) 

This means the area of both triangles is double that, which is 24 inch².

The area of the bottom rectangle is 16 x 4 = 64 inch².

Add the two areas up and you get 64 + 24 = 88 inch²
