Without knowing the relationship between h and x, how is this possible?

x / r = [ x + h ] / R

x (R / r ) = x + h

x (R/r) - x = h

x [( R/r) - 1 ] = h

x = h / [ (R/r) - 1 ]

H = x + h

H = h / [ (R/r) -1 ] + h
