If ray QT bisects angle RQS, what would be the measure of one of the resulting angles?

PQS is a straight line, so:

(3x - 5) + (x + 1) = 180

4x - 4 = 180

4x = 184

x = 46 degrees

Well done CubeyThePenguin...!

\((3x - 5) + (x + 1) = 180\)

\(3x-5+x+1=180\)

\(3x+x-5+1=180\)

\(4x-5+1=180\)

\(4x-4=180\)

\(4x-4+4=180+4\)

\(4x=184\)

\(\frac{4x}{4}=\frac{184}{4}\)

\(x=46\)

3x - 5 + x + 1 = 180         x = 46

To answer the question... ∠RQT ≅ ∠SQT = 46/2 = 23 degrees laugh
