Set each factor to 0 and solve

 

2x -  4  = 0      add 4 to both sides

2x  = 4    divide both sides by 2

x  = 2

 

4x - 5  = 0    add 5 to both sides

4x  =5    divide both sides by 4

x  = 5/4
