find the standard deviation and mean of the numbers 5, 7, 2, 4, 9, 3,

I've never encountered the term 'standard deviation', but mean is:

(5+7+2+4+9+3)/6

data=(5, 7, 2, 4, 9, 3); xs=sum(data[x],x=1..6)/6; sqrt( 1/(6-1)* sum( (data[x]-xs)^2 ,x=1..6) )
