\((\frac{5}{2})^2\) Use an exponent rule that states that \((\frac{a}{b})^2=\frac{a^2}{b^2}\). I like to think of it as distributing it to the numerator and denominator.
\(\frac{5^2}{2^2}\) Simplify the numerator and denominator.
\(\frac{25}{4}\) This is the fraction in its improper form.
\(\frac{25}{4}=6\frac{1}{4}=6.25\) Here's your answer in other forms.

\((\dfrac{5}{2})^2\\ =(2.5)^2\text{<--- Turn into decimal}\\ =6.25\\ =\dfrac{25}{4}\text{<--- back into fraction}\)

Lazy to do all those stuff.. XD
